After an incredible 20 years together, longtime manager and Now Muzik CEO Efe Omorogbe, along with Nigerian music icon 2Baba, have announced their separation. With the announcement of the news, a chapter in Nigerian entertainment history came to an end via a post Now Muzik’s official Instagram.
Omorogbe expressed appreciation for their successful collaboration and highlighted 2Baba’s musical abilities as well as the outstanding accomplishments they have made together. He praised 2Baba as one of Nigeria’s best musicians and noted how fortunate he had been to experience and share in his musical magic throughout the years.
“I am proud of the brands we built together, the music we made; the fans we entertained. 2Baba is one of the greatest Nigerian musicians of all time and it is really an honour to have had the opportunity to walk side by side with him, watching and helping him make magic over the past two decades.” He said.
2Baba expressed gratitude in return, praising Omorogbe and the Now Muzik crew for playing a crucial part in his professional achievement. Even though this chapter is coming to an end, 2Baba acknowledged how important Now Muzik’s support was, and how much it influenced his artistic path.
“I know it’s a cliche but every good thing must come to an end. I owe a lot of my career success to Efe and his team at Now Muzik.
“Everything I’ve been able to achieve is as a result of the support of so many people and organisations working with me to bring my talent and vision to life. Now Muzik is one of such companies and I couldn’t be more grateful to them.” 2baba said.
Both sides are enthusiastic about their next ventures as 2Baba enters a new chapter symbolized by his own brand, Hypertek Media. Even if their working relationship is no longer active, 2Baba and Omorogbe’s respect and affection for one another bears witness to their strong professional and lasting friendship.
