Afro-singer Ibrahim Owodunni, better known by his stage name Primeboy, was once again taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command as part of the continuing investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Sources claim that Primeboy and Ayobami Fisayo, popularly known as Spending, were both apprehended when they visited the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba. Primeboy was handcuffed and taken into custody right away, but Spending was freed after logging in.
Primeboy, Spending, and Boluwatife Adeyemo, also known as Darosha, have been called to testify regarding the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death before the coroner court in the Ikorodu area.
On September 12, Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s Marlian Music, passed away at the age of 27, igniting debates on social media. The state Police Command established a special investigating squad in response to his death.
The autopsy was completed, but the results have not yet been received by the police. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has stressed that no one should bury his son without getting his permission.
Primeboy was first declared wanted by the authorities in October 2023, at which point he gave himself up. Along with other people, Naira Marley and famous Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu have been arrested as a result of the inquiry into Mohbad’s death.
